A lot of Riley's arguments and solutions are compelling, but there are also a few times where they seem contradictory or counter-intuitive. Also, a lot of the facts seem to be about moderation, but, as with red wine and dark chocolate, the line between the good amount and the bad amount seems foggy. This is not to say that Riley did not do her homework – all of the evidence in Be the Parent, Please is well documented. Whether I agree with everything Naomi Schaefer Riley states or not is irrelevant as every parent needs to make their own parenting choices, but Be the Parent, Please can be an eye-opener to those willing to listen.
