. I'm having trouble restraining myself from foregoing the work I had planned to do today. To heck with it.

orsey writes of Serge and Coleman, who ride the roads of Florida looking for reasons for living, usually in a vehicle they have purloined from a parking lot. They have been surf boarders for a number of years and have mastered the sport. But not as well as Darby Pope who out surfs anyone who puts a toe on their board.

f course, with the diverse personalities of our heroes, all manner of circumstances arise that demand their very own, unusual solutions. I would hate to do something to raise Serge's ire. His solutions usually require a drastic end of life for the wrongdoer.

he two friends become entangled with the men working at the docks in Florida, as well as the cops who patrol these docks and who are all involved in the illicit selling of lottery tickets. This involves a lot of money but puts the two in jeopardy. Unfortunately, the Pope also is involved.

his is a delightful, refreshing tale, in which Serge's diabolical methods of handling those he feels don't deserve to live touch the funny bone. In addition,
The Pope of Palm Beach
puts the reader in mind of the possibility of fake lottery tickets actually being sold in Florida.
