Seriously Hexed is the third (following Seriously Wicked and Seriously Shifted) in Tina Connolly's delightful YA series starring a teen witch. Camellia strives to avoid becoming a mostly wicked witch like her mother Sarmine. She constantly struggles with witch-y ethics, but inadvertently be-spells her boyfriend Devon.

Devon was possessed by a demon in the first episode. As Seriously Hexed opens, Cam has turned him invisible - she was trying to get him over his stage fright! Sarmine agrees to help, but then she disappears too, after insisting that Cam join her coven and attend its meeting. There, Cam learns that she and Sparkle (who's become very close to football quarterback Leo, a shapeshifter) aren't the only witches in her high school. There's also Poppy, whose witch mother Lily insists Cam move in with them while her mother is gone.

Though they find it hard at first, Cam and Poppy do learn how to work together. Witches at the coven meeting are be-spelled one by one, their past actions turned against them, and a demon is involved. Poppy is concerned for her mother, and Cam is also likely to be attacked as she was at the coven meeting. As matters progress, Cam and Poppy enroll Devon, Sparkle and Leo in their quest. They summon a demon and Cam finds out things that make her see her mother very differently.

Cam does something very dangerous. She takes a stand for Sentient Magicals, believing that 'at some point you've got to do something for what you believe in.' And though she and BFF Jenah don't connect much in this episode, they realize that they can still be close even when they make other good friends. This is a wonderful series, not to be missed.
