by George Sims was first published in 1967. Revived by an agreement between British Library Classic Thrillers and Poisoned Pen Press, this mystery novel has been met with applause by its readers.

am Weiss, a small man, who is terrified of heights and has suffered most of his life with vertigo, stands on a window ledge on the tenth floor of a building in London. He propels himself into the air and ends his life on the ground below him. His close friends were well aware of his problem and could not understand why he would choose this way to take his own life.

ed Balfour, his best friend, refuses to believe Sam committed suicide. His questioning of those who might lead him to an answer puts Ned's life in danger. As readers we are treated to a tour of London. If you have been there, you will recognize the wonderful city. If not, you will find yourself thinking about taking a trip there.
