A
good mystery; the touch of a psychic; musicians galore; toxic teenagers; a baby whose mother has been murdered, has disappeared; and a father that never knew he was a father – all in Jane Tesh's newest mystery,
Baby, Take a Bow
.
T
esh not only delivers the fifth of her Grace Street series but instills in her well-written novel little bits of really good advice. Humor also abounds in her writing. But the very thing that I think will once again endear her to our hearts is her characterization of folk she has already, in previous mysteries, introduced to her fans.
B
e re-introduced to Delores Carlyle, a spirit trapped in a huge mirror, and two surly teenagers who probably just need to be understood (maybe you have one or two of those.) There's Camden who loves where he lives and doesn't want to upset the status quo by marrying out of that address; Rufus, the new father who wonders why his ex-wife never mentioned a baby; and last but not least the hot dog stand owner who swears the stand is haunted!
B
aby, Take a Bow
is a delightful way to while away a few hours indulging yourself. You deserve it.
