. Dubbed a '

', we're told that it '
introduces a virtuoso voice in contemporary fiction
'. I find I can't quite go that far, though I did enjoy the book.

ophisticated Emily asks her best friend, stay-at-home mommy blogger Stephanie, to pick up their two sons after school. And that is the last that is seen of Emily, who is feared dead. Stephanie more or less moves into Emily's life. I can't in good conscience reveal any more of the plot. Don't want to spoil any of the suspenseful parts. Yes, it is suspenseful, but ultimately sort of falls flat in that category.
