R
eaders of the
Body Farm
mysteries will recognize the names of Dr. Bill Bass and Jon Jefferson as authors of this very popular series. The
Body Farm
truly exists in Tennessee. The two men have collaborated on writing series episodes, all of them worthy of notice.
F
orensic anthropologist Bill Brockton features as the main character in this series.
Without Mercy
brings Brockton up against an old enemy – one who should be incarcerated for life but who is now, apparently, walking the streets. Bill faces the possibility that he may be a target of this ruthless killer.
A
truly ghastly murder is discovered and Bill recognizes who the perpetrator could be. I will leave readers to discover why and how the murder was committed as well as who is responsible for the death of a young man who definitely did not deserve his fate.
R
eaders are kept abreast of the investigation. I use the words
thrilling
and
suspenseful
to describe a series with credible characterizations and an unbelievable murder method. Descriptions of the Tennessee countryside contribute to the plot and make the scenes very real. I have driven through the Tennessee Mountains and the authors' take on a gorgeous part of that state is right on.
M
y only negative comment is that the book was not long enough. I wanted more. Please, gentlemen, when can we expect the next
Body Farm
episode?
