emember the names Kristin, Holly, Sophie and Bootsie. They all carry this story and do it well. Great friends who love and count on each other. Their goal at the beginning of
Killer Punch
is to outdo their nemesis Eula, both in the annual Tomato Show and in the tennis tournament.

valuable pastoral painting goes missing at the country club and the four friends decide to sleuth. They are sure that Eula is to blame but can find no clues pointing in her direction. Although Eula
is
caught obtaining a prize-winning tomato plant from a New Jersey grower. Definitely a no-no. We all know what a Jersey tomato is like.

eanwhile the whole area is upset when it appears that a Mega Wine Mart is to open in their little village. It is a quiet place to live and all the residents want it to stay that way. That is, except for those proposing to build this huge store that would disturb the tranquility of their homes, but would make the owners mega bucks.

ll the while, Sophie is going through a difficult divorce. Her soon-to-be ex wants her to hand over at least eighteen pairs of her sandals to him. Think there's a fetish here? And that missing painting remains missing.
