Math Geek: From Klein Bottles to Chaos Theory, a Guide to the Nerdiest Math Facts, Theorems, and Equations
is a compilation of mathematical facts put into an easy to read format and tied back to real world phenomena which everyone can relate to (like how to divide a cake evenly).
T
he depth and breath of the subjects covered is surprisingly large, from statistics to geometry to purer mathematics. Some of the topics it introduces readers to are ones that I remember covering more in depth at University.
S
o I would recommend this book to anyone interested in real world mathematical applications, and also as an introductory text to make you aware of the wide and wonderful world of math.
