ike Binder's debut novel,
Keep Calm
, is a rather disjointed British thriller, whose characterizations don't really ring true, but with appeal to conspiracy theorists. It opens on a bombing at 10 Downing Street that sends the PM to hospital.
I
n his absence, the striking Chancellor of the Exchequer, Georgia Turnbull, takes charge - readers learn early on that she seems to be addicted to pain pills, needed due to injuries caused by a helicopter crash. A search for the bombers quickly begins, led by talented young Inspector Davina Steel, and an American scapegoat will soon be made available.

x-cop Adam Tatum (who lost his job and was briefly jailed after a protest against the Michigan governor) was inexplicably selected by his superiors at Heaton Global Investments to participate in a delegation to London, including a round table with the PM. His family accompanied him. In the UK, his family is threatened and he's pulled deeper and deeper into an intricate plot against the government.

he plot thickens as a strong attraction grows between Georgia and Davina, who is unsure of Adam's guilt and is herself threatened. With betrayal at every turn, will she be able to solve the puzzle this time? Read
