, about the offspring of fallen angels. The lead is teen Gaby Winters first met in Australia's Pandanus Beach, where she shared a bungalow with her friend Maggie.

aby had terrible nightmares about a hell-beast, which she soon discovered was real. She also learned that she and her twin brother Jude (whom she believed dead) were Rephaim and was attracted to Jude's best friend Rafa. They were caught up in conflict between two Rephaim groups, the Outcasts and the Sanctuary team.

aggie's new boyfriend Jason was also Rephaim, though unknown to the others, and Jason's young relative, Dani's visions are key to the story. Through the series, there have been rescues and escapes, ups and downs in Gaby and Rafa's relationship, and Jude has been found alive and well.

opens, only eleven days after the series beginning, Gaby and her friends await demons '

'. And she has finally recovered her memory. Readers are taken back eleven years to learn what really happened to Gaby and why she stayed at the Sanctuary when Jude left.

abe also finds out who her father is and, when the demons attack, she and Jude finally meet him, along with a horde of Gatekeepers, Hellions and Immundi. It's carnage until the Fallen angels arrive, followed by Gabriel himself. Then the Rephaim are given a new purpose and a happy ending, though they still must learn how to deal with their erratic fathers.
