Jett Bennett finds a mix tape in her mailbox but it wasn't intended for her. The tape was meant for KitKat, the young woman in the next apartment. But instead of handing the tape to KitKat, Jett finds KitKat's dead body! Murdered!

What ensues is a quest to find the killer. The Big Rewind has a good, strong plot with many diverse characters. Most of the story revolves around Jett and her search for love. Unfortunately, Jett clings to a past when she was dating frequently and living through music. Music of the '90s. Which leaves me behind in the dust. My music was the Harry James Orchestra and Benny Goodman and others of the same ilk. Jett reminisces about so much of the music of her time that I am really impressed with the research involved.

I am sure that someone nearer the author's age would do a far better job of reviewing her work. But I must say that I like her style of writing. Her plot is a winner. Her musings about love and life in general are words to remember. Seriously, she has the soul of a romantic and her writing almost demands to be heard. This is not a book to be read and then forgotten. Cudmore has many truths she has chosen to share.

The mystery is a good one also. The murderer is not one I had the slightest clue about. A musician would so enjoy this novel. A poet would drool over it. Someone in love will identify with Jett. Libby Cudmore has a lot to offer - a young woman who has made her mark in the world.
