oberts sets out with good intentions and the determination to get the job done and re-enter the working world. Cox is running because she knows she is innocent but doesn't trust the police. If they latch onto her, she knows they will stop looking for the real culprit.

oberts is beginning to know the personality of his target and doesn't feel she fits the profile of a killer. What is happening here?

s he gets closer to her trail, he becomes even more sure he is following the wrong person. Though if she isn't guilty, he wonders, why did she run? Is she a psychopathic killer or someone who was just in the wrong place at the wrong time? He begins to have feelings for this runaway and is not sure that he should continue his hunt.

is an absorbing read.
