alter Desmond has been released from prison after it was realized that he was innocent of the murder for which he was convicted. He finds the world very different after twenty-five years of incarceration.

e heads back to Trafalgar City, the location of the horrible murder of a young girl that sent him to prison. He wants to know why he was convicted. He opens up a can of worms by asking questions about the murder and the police who arrested him.

he murdered girl's family wants him back in jail or dead. After twenty-five years of hating, they refuse to believe the court that commuted his sentence.

owever, since the real murderer has not been found, the case has been re-opened and the file comes to Sergeant John Winter's desk. Molly – birth first name Moonlight – Smith is involved in the investigation. For a romantic twist, a group of women dragon boat racers join the plot. Interesting side bar.

esmond determines to stick out the nasty looks and comments that are thrown at him. The situation gets more volatile when a native of Trafalgar is attacked. A dragon boat woman is also attacked. Naturally, Desmond is targeted as the attacker.
Unreasonable Doubt
is a good read. I really enjoy this series.
