Vanishing Games
is the fast-paced sequel to
Ghostman
, which introduced readers to a
fixer
, Jack, who specializes in making serious problems vanish. Jack was trained and mentored by Angela. They were partners for a while, until a heist went badly awry in Kuala Lumpur six years before the events of this novel. They both escaped but Angela disappeared from Jack's life.

Vanishing Games
opens, three pirates take out a small smuggling yacht on the South China Sea. When they discover that the vessel carries more than the blue sapphires they sought, Sabo, the
buttonman
(professional killer), eliminates the others, hides the treasure, and continues to Hong Kong, intending to deliver the sapphires to Angela, the
jugmarker
. She set up the robbery and has the connections to sell the gems. Sabo intends to return for the real treasure, but someone else finds him first.
A
ngela knows she's in big trouble when she receives a package with Sabo's severed head inside and a message giving her one day to return what was stolen. She needs help, so she calls her only friend, a
ghostman
. And Jack immediately drops everything and flies from Oregon to the Far East to meet her. Sabo's mercenary killer, Laurence, stays hot on their trail. A series of violent encounters - and skilled cons - follow at an accelerating pace that leaves the reader breathless.

on't miss this one, an exciting, action-packed read that pulls readers across the globe and into an underworld most of us (fortunately!) know little about. Highly recommended!
