for eight seasons. In that role Knight had unprecedented access to the Los Angeles Dodgers' organization; thus, she was able to parlay her contacts into this insider's look at the ball club. Sports fans will find this a fascinating and entertaining book about the Dodgers' recent troubles and how Guggenheim Partners resurrected the team from bankruptcy and has tried to make it a crown contender again.
K
night begins by explaining how the legendary team got into such a financial mess in the first place. That is followed by a detailed look at the new owners and their willingness to spend big bucks to get the Dodgers back to the World Series.

. Although a series of blockbuster trades and signing up players from offshore have yet to pay dividends, it appears this season might be the one where the Dodgers finally turn the corner and make it to a serious title run.
A
lthough I am a San Francisco Giants fan, I still found reading this book enjoyable. If nothing else, it helped me understand what makes the Dodgers tick and it underscores some of the team's remaining flaws. Maybe this will finally be the Dodgers' year, or maybe not. Either way, any person interested in the team and its recent history will find this book highly informative.
