Unfortunately, Pants on Fire Detective Agency has literally run into another murder! Getting her morning run in, Cat trips over a faceless body – who turns out to be Bernie Love, the finance guy to the Provenza family with whom he grew up. Not to mention he was friend to Cat's kind-of-shady Uncle Joey, a just-leave-me-alone-to-do-my-work cop who drives a Ferrari! As Cat fumbles her phone out of her pocket, she is hit by volts from a stun gun and the corpse is hauled away in a wheelbarrow. She notices that whoever is responsible was wearing a Rolex watch! She is aware that she is now a target – having been at the murder scene. She is helped in her attempt to stay alive by her faithful beagle, her assistant who is gun-happy, an ex-spy, and her 'outrageous, interfering Italian family'. Where is the boyfriend when he's needed? Bye, Bye Love is another very enjoyable Cat DeLuca adventure. How she survives her dilemmas is well-worth reading about. Enjoy.
