The couple's youngest son also goes missing and that makes the decision to move to the house they inherited in this isolated region of upstate New York even more of a disaster. The Tierneys' personal life is already in flux and they are looking for a change of scenery, but this is not what they had in mind. This chilling and atmospheric novel marks the debut of Brendan Duffy, an editor at Putnam and Hyperion. After guiding other novelists and helping them bring their works to the public, Duffy has tried his hand at writing his own novel. The result is a psychological suspense tale with some very unexpected twists, especially in the final pages. Don't cheat and take a peek at the ending because it will ruin your enjoyment of this unsettling story.
