his novel has it all: childhood friends making the rocky journey into adulthood, difficult relationships and family problems, sordid love triangles, and wonderful characters that are brought to life within the pages of the book.

ulu wakes up the morning after her best friend Annabelle's wedding to find herself in bed with her ex-boyfriend. No big deal, right? Wrong. Lulu's ex-boyfriend is Annabelle's groom. As you can guess, that pulls a giant wedgie into the best friends' relationship.

ow is Lulu to bounce back after that drama? After the disastrous wedding, Lulu throws herself into work and family, helping to take care of her mentally ill mother while working as a personal assistant to the obnoxious Mr. Platinum Tonsils himself, Duncan McAllister.

n the boistrous, loud, cantankerous Duncan, Lulu finds an unlikely friend, one who accepts her as she is, faults and all. As Lulu tries to make peace with her past, the present keeps throwing obstacle after obstacle at her. And as she falls, Lulu must learn to bounce.

was engrossed with this novel from page one. From the ever thickening plot to well developed characters, I felt like I was part of the story and not just reading a book, looking in from the pages. I particularly came to like Duncan McAllister, a character whom you love to hate and hate to love. A must read, this book will make you laugh, cry, and raise your eyebrows.
