The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson might take your breath away. Literally! If you should happen to run into Ted Severson or Lily Kinter. These two met each other on a flight from London to Boston. With little to do on the flight, they talk together for the long hours in the air and come to a deadly decision.

Lily will help Ted to kill his no-good wife Miranda! They convince themselves that the world is better off without those who make others so unhappy. What Ted doesn't realize is that Lily has left a trail of dead bodies behind her! What's with her? Will she unburden her past to Ted before he is in too deep?

The story is told in intervals ... by Lily, Peter, Miranda and Kimball. (Now who could Kimball be?) Miranda has been caught with the architect hired to do some work on the Severson home. Surely she deserves to die for that indiscretion.

Swanson's plot is devious and chilling. So intriguing. Makes one look at those around us with a different eye. Is that goateed man standing over by the office window planning someone's demise? Is that red-haired woman standing on the dock going to hit the man next to her with the conch shell in her hand and push him in the water? Is no one who they appear to be?

The Kind Worth Killing (great title, by the way) is definitely worth the time spent reading it.
