rom the moment Cassie Taylor and Ethan Holt meet in acting school, sparks fly. Their instructor decides that they would make the perfect Romeo and Juliet, but when their faked passion leads to a steamy affair, their lives turns into a real life Shakespearean tragedy, not once, but twice.
Y
ears later both have successful acting careers and inevitably, a Broadway production of
Romeo and Juliet
throws them together and ignites their fiery attraction all over again. Like before, their passion plays well onstage, but offstage it's a completely different story. Will Cassie and Ethan set their past aside to fulfill their contractual obligations or will the Hollywood heartthrob break Cassie's heart all over again?
R
ayven makes an impressive debut in
Bad Romeo
, telling her story through present day and flashback scenes, the latter mostly told through Cassie's diary entries. There's plenty of drama, angst and cheeky humor in the pair's love/hate relationship, but there was a point where I found the story became rather redundant - too much foreplay and no consummation, as it were. Nor does Rayven ever explain how Ethan broke Cassie's heart a third time.
A
pparently all will be revealed when the pair returns in
Broken Juliet
, due out in May of 2015.
