elinda Gordon has a job she loves, friends she adores and an over-the-top sense of worth, despite her curvy figure and overprotective parents. So why is her love life a total train wreck? It's not as if she's ditched the dating scene; it's as if her guardian angel is playing some kind of joke and hooking her up with the dates from hell. She definitely needs to make a change.
U
nfortunately, that change turns out to be Carter Lancaster, the biggest mistake of her life and, as her luck would have it, the love of her life. Their whirlwind romance and marriage is a huge, huge mistake. They each kept their share of secrets, ones that quickly ruin their relationship. The fact that Carter's parents hate her only adds fuel to the fire. Belinda chooses to run home to the west coast and start over. Things go wonderfully well for her until Carter decides to move to her home town and ruin her life all over again.
C
arter's there to finally get a divorce but finds Belinda as beguiling as ever; maybe a divorce is the wrong way to approach things. Can he persuade her to give him, and his precocious daughter Ruby, another chance, or will their rocky past prevent them from starting over?
W
ell-rounded characters, a nice plot line and plenty of humour keep this charming story zipping along. Belinda is a no nonsense woman who knows what she wants until Carter and Ruby hit town and turn the cozy world she's created for herself inside out all over again. Pick up a copy of
