Here's a follow up from author Adam Mansbach and Owen Brozman addressing another issue that will resonate with harried parents - picky eaters. As any parent knows, kids can be exceptionally frustrating - mine certainly had their moments. So I can understand the appeal of this sort of book to exhausted caregivers. But, the anger usually associated with the f*** word comes through the text and (though perhaps very honest) disturbs me in relation to children. The back cover calls the book 'Profane, loving, and deeply cathartic'. Though I'd agree with the first and third adjectives, it didn't feel loving to me at all.
