eapon of Vengeance
is the first book in a trilogy following Ruby Gill and her family. Ruby is a rogue MI6 agent. Her mother is a Palestinian and her father, whom she has not seen since she was four, is Indian and the head of India's antiterrorist police. Ruby has a mission, to destroy a Palestinian-Israeli peace summit in New Delhi. She is sure her father is expecting a reunion, but he is begining to suspect that she is the terrorist he has been looking for.

his first of a new series left me begging for more. I have to admit I had a little difficulty getting into it. But once I did, the action raced along. Suspense reigns as the reader considers Ruby's father's dilemma. He wants to save lives and stop a terrorist plot. But he also wants to protect the daughter, who has been fed hate for the Israelis for years. How can he make a decision, knowing that he will have to live with it for the rest of his life? What will Ruby do? Destroy the summit or have that long-awaited reunion with the father she believed had deserted her?

s readers, we also see the potential Palestinian-Israeli cease fire from both sides and understand the reasoning that brought it about. So much suffering. Hard to read of, especially with recent headlines. I know the book is fiction but the author, I'm sure, writes from his own experiences. Once again, I am so lucky to live far away from the situation but can't help but feel compassion for both sides.
