Looking for Me
is the story of how a young woman's passion for old furniture helps her to overcome a deep mystery in her life.

hen they are both still very young, Teddi's brother Josh goes missing in the rural Kentucky Red River Gorge they grew up near and knew so well. As months turn into years and there is no sign of Josh, Teddi's parents seem to have given up, but Teddi cannot. Neither can she do the thing her mother expects of her - attend secretarial school. A broken chair she fixed up as a kid turns out to be the key to a career for her in Charleston, South Carolina. She just has to leave in the middle of the night to get started. But nothing can dim her hope that her brother is still alive.

he characters in this story are wonderfully realized as is the dialog, and there is much that is interesting about finding and refinishing antiques, though I'm not so sure all of it, especially the business at her small antique shop, is so realistic. But the heart of the novel, the unshakeable bond that exists between Teddi and Josh and how that is revealed, is what makes this work uniquely interesting and thought-provoking.
