It is indeed a good life for Dana. She has a great home, great job, and a great husband of eight years. He's heading for partner in his law firm. Brett's problem? He's bored.

Enter Janice, the brassy transplant from California, who has 'been around the block' to use her description. Sparks fly, and life goes downhill for Dana. Sound dull? It isn't. The story is well told by an author very familiar with the makings of the legal and fashion industries in New York, personality types involved, and interworkings. She takes us through the constant maneuvering for position of both Dana and her husband. Both must stay ever alert to changes in the political climate. The places, settings, and intrigues make the novel interesting.

I would tell this author not to fear sex scenes. We have a red hot relationship going betweem Brett and Janice with G-rated descriptions. Good sex scenes can be well written. I would also suggest she not use cliches such as the one above. They say very little. Around what block? The discovery of the affair is also unlikely. More likely would have been an overheard conversation or an errant message that sent Dana's brother in Brett's direction, camera in hand.

Lastly, I found myself caught up in the story and wondering what will happen to Dana next. Will her Very Good Life continue? We've now learned about the first eight years. I look forward to reading about the next eight.
