H
ayley Snow is a food critic for Key Zest magazine. She is bowed down with a plethora of things to do, apart from writing for the publication that pays her. She is baking two hundred cupcakes for her best friend's wedding as well as being in charge of that wedding.
H
er writing deadlines are creeping up on her. The last thing she needs is for her mother and stepfather to appear on the scene. Along with her stepbrother Rory, who is a handful in his own right. The cupcakes are a total write-off when they fall on the floor. Then Rory disappears – someone saw him riding off on a stolen Jet Ski with a young girl clinging to his waist.
S
aid girl is found dead and, of course, Rory is the first suspect. But he has to be found to be accused. The plot is intricate and a real delight. It brings in the Hemingway cats and the night life in Key West – the lovely sunsets and the gold that was rescued from the bottom of the sea, as well as family problems that take up time that Hayley does not have.
T
he bonus that comes with
Murder with Ganache
is the selection of recipes ending this romp in Key West. How does
Strawberry Cream Pie with Chocolate Graham Cracker Crust
sound? Works for me.
