t is understandable that Eve Lattimore is prone to be a helicopter mom. Her son Tyler suffers from a rare medical condition that makes him fatally sensitive to ultraviolet radiation. Hovering over her son to make sure he steers clear of any exposure to sunlight has been a full time job for this concerned parent.

alancing the needs of the rest of her family with Tyler's special situation has been a challenging situation for Eve, but she's managed quite well, all things considered. But as Tyler edges into adolescence he becomes more restless and the desire to test his boundaries, even if it means he can only do so at night, becomes an issue.
T
hen one rainy night an event occurs that completely destroys Eve's equilibrium and what little normalcy there might exist in her life. Forced to cope with the terrible tragedy, Eve must weigh what she believes is right for her family and son against a situation she has unwittingly created that throws her best friend's family into utter chaos.
