elia Graves is a bodyguard, a specialist when it comes to the protection and security of her clients. Business is booming. Celia also has a unique make up, part Siren and part vampire. She is Siren royalty and it is a constant fight to keep her vampire nature under control. Celia's life is pretty good until she turns down a client who ends up dead soon afterwards.

elia's world turns from good to bad in a matter of heartbeats. A holographic image appears and commands two thugs to strip her down and tie her up on a beach in the sun to die of burns. Fortunately for Celia, friends find her before it's too late. Now, trying to keep her inner vampire at bay, she finds herself in the middle of a family feud that has been going on for generations. The last survivors of one side are trying to murder a young girl and Celia has to figure out a way to keep her safe. If this girl dies, then most of Southern California will be at risk and that is something Celia cannot let happen. She might have to call in a few favours to win, even if they endanger some of her closest friends.
I
wasn't so sure about this episode at first, but was eventually hooked as usual. I do enjoy Cat Adams' books and I love the character of Celia Graves - a siren and vampire mix, how messed up is that? This story had more of a problem solving mode instead of the usual action. The romance (between Celia and Bruno) was almost non existent. Once the action got going I was on board again, though this was not one of my favorite
Blood Singer
episodes.
