First, there's mobster Salvatore 'Uncle Sunny' Sunucchi who is on the lam after being charged with murder after running down a man. Now Stephanie is looking for Uncle Sunny, but no one is co-operating with either the authorities or anyone else nosing around. In fact, Trenton's finest detective, Joe Morelli, is dragging his feet because the wanted man just happens to be his actual godfather. Bella, Joe's old-world grandmother, has reminded him more than once that Uncle Sammy is like family and you don't mess with family. The old woman is doing whatever she can do to derail Stephanie's search as well. If she didn't have enough trouble with one senior citizen, Stephanie also has another case on her plate that involves the death of a woman who played bingo with her own grandmother. Grandma Mazur's bingo buddy's demise means that there's a killer loose at the senior center and that's got Stephanie's family on edge too because grandma has no intention of skipping her weekly bingo outings. Then there's the problem of a giraffe named Kevin running wild in the streets of Trenton, but we won't even go into that situation! It is no accident that Janet Evanovich has sold over 75 million copies of her novels. She's always up to the task and in top form when she sits down to write, which explains why her novels always hit the national best sellers lists.
