Christian McLoughlin is a man of wealth and class. He has a certain air about him that says he is unused to hearing the word 'no'. There is an immediate attraction and they quickly succumb to it. Ember knows that Christian is also hiding a dark secret, but allows the passionate affair to continue. Ember decides to share her secret after she finds out who Christian really is and why he came to Barcelona. But once all the dark past is out in the open and there is no going back, survival gets tough. Acceptance is only one of the keys and the danger that surrounds them might get them killed. At first I felt ho-hum about another romance with a paranormal twist. But Edge of Darkness had me reading well into the wee hours of the morning. It has explosive action throughout, with perfect characters, heat, love, humour and a deadly, sick bad guy. This is a must for the paranormal romance reader.
