To make the situation even more interesting, Jolene is working with her former husband, Texas Ranger Brody Winchester. This proximity will rekindle some old feelings but it will also put the pair in a position where they are about to discover some very unexpected and terrifying truths. Mary Burton's romantic suspense stories have been lauded for their 'terrific plots and complex, engaging protagonists, and twisted villains'.
