I
looked forward to opening
The Bride Wore Size 12
by Meg Cabot – the newest offering in her Heather Wells Mystery series. I was not disappointed.

f there is a problem, poor Heather always seems to be in the midst of it. She works at Manhattan's New York College. When we catch up with her she is in the process of handling the demands of new students and their helicopter moms about room assignments in Fisher Hall, where she is a supervisor.

long with the usual complaints about rooms and roommates, she must handle the conspicuous appearance of an Arab Crown Prince and make accommodations for a suite for the young man as well as for his body guards, and oversee the installation of security cameras for the Prince.

hat more could happen? Dare she even ask? Maybe a dead body! Jasmine, one of her new resident advisors, is found dead in her room. What a start to a new year! On top of all this, Heather is planning her wedding. At least that might go well. But ... many people whom she had not invited to the wedding have been thanking her for invitations! What's that all about?
W
hen the mother from whom she has been estranged for ten years shows up, Heather is ready to throw in the towel. It's hard to forgive a mother who ran off with Heather's manager. Oh yeah, she also ran off with all of the money that Heather had earned as a rock star.
W
hat more could go wrong? Quick, get yourself a copy of
The Bride Wore Size 12
and read on. Cabot's sense of humor alone could carry this book. Her tight plotting makes this one even more delightful.
