en Archer had gone to Sacred Sisters Catholic girls' school. She felt it was the right place for her older daughter Carley to attend. However, Carley is shy and studious and becomes the victim of bullies. Poor Carley suffers agonies at the hands of vicious gossip and nasty pranks.

arley's younger sister seems to be handling her schooling and friends very well. She can't understand Carley's problems, so Carley can't talk to her. Online, she befriends someone named Angel. Carley finds she can tell Angel things she wouldn't tell anyone else, including her own mother. Then, shortly after Jen and her then best friend Nicki suffer a misunderstanding, Nicki slits her wrists.

oon after Nicki's death another student dies – a hanging. Suicide? But it looks to the reader as though things are not always as they seem. Be careful, Carley, to whom you disclose your life on the Internet.

he Good Sister
by Wendy Corsi Staub is another of the author's page turners. It's a winner like her many other novels. Staub not only gives readers a good story but also offers pertinent insights into relationships between mothers and daughters. And possibly encourages parents to monitor their daughters' Internet use more diligently. Well written. And disturbing.
