Here on her front porch is her late husband's brother, Jake Edwards. She has not seen him since her husband's death and she is furious with him. When she needed him most he disappeared without a word even after that one night they spent together after the funeral. They were best friends and he bailed on her. Now Raine knows she has to stop him from making a terrible mistake and must get rid of the blonde he brought with him. Jake told her that what was between them was platonic but Raine feels differently. She has to ask herself why she should care; it's not like she has feelings for him or does she? Jake Edwards has been away from Crystal Lake for a long time and knows he has to face the music. It is Christmas. He needs to see his family and believes he should make things right with Raine. Jake has always had feelings for her but stepped aside because of his love for his brother. But Christmas is a time of love and cheer and being around Raine has made him feel very festive. This romance is a bit sinful but good. It is rather twisted with the two leads trying to compete with the dead and to make a life of their own without feeling guilt. This must be tough but Juliana Stone has made it as smooth as butter and let's you believe in love.
