Henry has lost the use of his right arm, making some of the easiest tasks very difficult. But that doesn't stop him from trying; it just causes frustration. He would love to re-enter London society and be looked at once again as a man and not as a cripple. His sister-in-law has a plan for him to find a wife and live comfortably once again. Henry tries but is having no success at holding a lady's attention. He turns to the companion of the beautiful lady he wants and asks her if she can help. Frances Whittier has agreed to help Henry get the her mistress's attention since she knows her best. She gives him tips and advice on how to win her friend's hand. Frances has seen firsthand what this man is capable of and desires him. She writes him a secret letter revealing her feelings. Henry believes the letter came from the lovely lady and not Frances and his confidence is boosted. How can Frances tell him the truth that the letter was from her and not her mistress? Sometimes things have a way of backfiring before they straighten out and this is what this story is about. It has a graceful flow and the dialogue is good. The love scenes are definitely on the hotter side, but still I enjoyed the banter the most. You take two oddballs and mix them together and boom you have a great story.
