She is tired of waiting at home, being the dutiful wife and mother, while her husband constantly works and hardly acknowledges that she is alive. Elinor has been entertaining herself with the idea of having a secret affair with a man she believes to be a spy. She figures she could help the man and become a spy herself. Baron Winslow Keating is an elite spy for England who has managed to keep his identity a secret for many years; even his lovely wife does not know. But lately he is starting to want out to be with his family more. Winslow has learned that his wife is planning to meet up with some rake and perhaps have an affair. He will do everything in his power to stop this because he realizes how really wonderful his wife actually is. When Elinor ends up kidnapped, Winslow will do anything to save her, even revealing his true identity and possibly losing everything he holds dear. True Spies is entertaining, humorous, witty and just well done. Reminiscent of the Mr. & Mrs. Smith movie, it's a good book for a sunny afternoon by the poolside.
