race Barnum is the sort of woman who takes no risks and likes life to be well organized and everything a certain way. She has a job editing textbooks for children, but lately is not on the same wavelength as her boss; she goes along to avoid creating waves. Her fiancé is older, settled, very reliable and predictable. Her divorced parents are very different from one another. Grace's mom is a bit of a control freak and her father a renowned artist in New York City. Grace is just getting to know her laid back father and is very cautious around him.
O
ne day Grace's life takes a complete turn around and she is pretty sure nothing will ever be the same. Grace has always been prepared for life's ups and downs, but nothing has prepared her for the very handsome Tyler Wilkie. He has a southern drawl, a sway in his walk, and writes songs just for her. Tyler has ruined her perfect little world by telling Grace he loves her, and as he twangs her heart strings, this is how Grace grows.
I
absolutely could not put this book down. I enjoyed Grace's character because she is like so many women to whom we can relate. But I also fell in love with Tyler and his laid back ways. Heck I would love to have a song written about me, I mean who wouldn't? Shelle Sumners takes readers on a life's journey, showing what unsuspected surprises can do to change its path. She makes it very believable.
