Dan Sorenson was a high-powered New York defense attorney before a drunk-driving accident destroyed his good life by killing his wife and daughter. After some time on the skids, he is offered the 'trial of a lifetime'. A chance to regain his equilibrium.

He sees this as an opportunity to get his life back on course. He is to defend a rapper, on the rise in the music world, accused of murder. The man swears he is innocent of killing his pop star girlfriend. Sorenson prefers to believe in his client's innocence. But is he? Innocent, that is.

It seems as though every time Sorenson talks to the rapper, he is told a lie. How can he believe the man is innocent? He puts almost all his time and effort into saving his client from a life in prison. Is he wasting all of this on a guilty man? He begins to feel that to save his own future, he must save the defendant. And he believes he must be falling for his assistant, a very pretty lawyer who is willing to work with him. Is it too soon after the loss of his wife?

The suspense in A Case of Redemption is enough to keep you up late at night. And it is well worth the loss of sleep. This is a second book for the author (after A Conflict of Interest). I'm looking forward to his third.
