' The mayor of the great city has invited Hollywood moguls to view his city with the idea of enticing more productions to be filmed in New York.

t a luncheon for the bigwigs of the film industry, one of the major players is poisoned. And dies. Another death of the Hollywood elite occurs and NYPD Red is called in to stop the killings and arrest the perpetrator. Zach Jordan and Kylie MacDonald are put in charge of the hunt. They have a past history together, but Kylie is now married and they promise to put the past behind them and concentrate on catching the person or persons responsible.

he suspense escalates as the reader is brought up to date on the madman and his thrill seeking partner, who are the bad guys in this story. We get a chance to see into their minds. Real nut jobs. But so dangerous.
B
y the time the action slows a wee bit and we all take a breath, it picks up again with more intensity. This one is a winner among the many other winners Patterson and his writing partners have written. But I think I was even more on the edge of my seat with
NYPD Red
. Can Patterson's books get any better? I don't see how. But I am willing to find out.
