eAndre Moore wanted answers and headed for Minneapolis to find them. When his answers were not forthcoming he decided to call his uncle Nolan's business partner Jane Lawless, licensed as a PI. But right after he left a message, someone decided he needed to die. He was found knifed in the alley behind the gentlemen's club.
W
hen Jane is called by the police, she finds out that the man who left her a message is now dead. She is alone on this one because Nolan is in the hospital recuperating from major surgery. As Jane digs, she finds that there are more questions than answers. She knows the answers are in the gentlemen's club but no one seems to want to help. Jane also believes there is a connection to other murders that happened in the past. Will she be targeted next?
T
his was my first Jane Lawless mystery and I was not disappointed. In the beginning I felt like I was dragged all over the map, but the pieces started to fall into place very neatly. There were times when I thought I knew who did it and then, boom, I was pulled into another direction.
