Daire needs this training more than ever now since the lower world is starting to corrupt and evil spills forth. Amongst all this evil is Dace's twin Cade. Daire knows that Dace is still connected to Cade in some way, but she doesn't realize how deep the connection really is. As love grows between Daire and Dace, it seems that Cade is enjoying it a bit to much. In fact Cade is using their love against them to help him destroy the world. So Daire and Dace are faced with a very difficult decision and the clock is ticking. One of them must destroy Cade once and for all. It might cost them their lives or could cost them their love for one another. I totally enjoyed this book, which is fresh and different, and imbued with New Mexico mythology. Daire and Dace make a magical couple who entice you to turn the pages faster for more of their romance. Even the villain Cade is a great character to step up the pace of the read.
