Our approach to cooking has always been a celebration of ingredients - fresh, locally grown organic produce, great cheeses, eggs, and dairy products, oils, nuts, and just about anything we can get our hands on that isn't meat, fish, or fowl.

obviously took time, dedication, and joy in the creating. What a treasure trove of new ideas, any of which could become old favorites in no time (the absence of pictures didn't detract at all from my ability to visualize the end results). I have not listed my favorites - ones I want to try - because, as I read my way through this exciting new cookbook, I found too many that would make it to my table. I can't and won't pick favorites. You'll have the same problem.

nnie Somerville hastens to assure home cooks that none of these recipes require utensils that you don't already have in your own kitchens. She also impresses the reader with the benefits of the very freshest of organic ingredients. Her enthusiasm for food inspires me to cook greens every day.
