anette is a very curious woman by nature, though suppressed by society and her father, so that she has to read science circulars in secret. She is fascinated by the Order of Illuminist, which is totally forbidden to her. One day, prompted by her best friend Sophia, Janette sneaks into the Order to find out what it is all about - her entire life is about to be turned upside down. The first strange thing that happens is that she is labeled a Pure Spirit, one who has the ability to find and touch Deep Earth Crystals. Though a rare prize for the Order, she now faces a guardian who wants to throw her out for trespassing.

arius Lawley is curious about this beautiful woman in his office. Her acute mind and spirit draw him to her in a way he doesn't understand. He knows that she is a Pure Spirit and her life is possibly in danger. He also knows that she has to ask to join the Order on her own for protection and to be guided by the right teachers. The rules of the Order are quite strict and must be obeyed. Since the Order is very secretive, he also wonders if he can trust her. Darius knows about her mother (who once was labeled traitor) and has many scenarios in his mind. Can he resist the attraction he feels and protect her life at all costs?

n many ways you feel like you are reading a historical romance, then it morphs into something like sci-fi. I totally enjoyed the mix, especially the very explicit, hot love scenes. Filled with action, intrigue and a small twist of humor,
A Lady Can Never be too Curious
is for the true lover of romance - some of the scenes are sure to peel the wallpaper right off the walls.
