From the first page to the last, this latest Poisoned Pen Press publication, Bleeding Through by Sandra Parshall kept me neglecting anything I had planned to do. Hard to put this book down, physically and mentally.

There is a back story to this next in the Rachel Goddard series. It is a help if you are aware of the problems of the two sisters, Rachel and Michelle, who were kidnapped as children and raised as someone else's daughters. But, no fear, being unaware of the traumatic experiences they suffered, you will not be bewildered by the current stream of events.

Michelle feels she is being stalked. She also is sure that no one believes her until Rachel intercepts a phone call meant for Michelle, leaving do doubt that Michelle does indeed have a stalker.

But, wait a minute. Now it seems that Rachel is being stalked also! What is going on here? She had been stalked before at a different time and different place, but believed her stalker was safely in a mental institution.

Action follows action in this closely written plot as the suspense builds. There's a clever twist, one I had seen used before, but effective nevertheless. And a bang-up finale. I like Rachel's determination to do what needs to be done. She sees the problem and tackles it, sometimes to her own detriment. Bleeding Through is a good read.
