She adores Austin and has a wonderful relationship with him. Living in the small town of Razor Bay, where everyone knows everybody, Jenny is happy until Austin's father turns up. She has always wanted to tear a strip out of him for abandoning his son. But now that he is here it isn't all that easy. For this man is more than easy on the eyes; she has other fantasies in mind. Jake Bradshaw left Razor Bay and his son when he was barely past his teenage years. He made it big as a top photojournalist, travelling the world and giving his past little thought. He believed he was doing the right thing, in leaving his son with the boy's grandparents. Now older and wiser, he's having second thoughts. He wants to make it up and make it right by staying in Razor Bay and convincing his teenage son to come to New York with him. But there is an obstacle in his way, a tiny, beautiful woman named Jenny, who haunts his every thought - really, he would love to get her in his bed and never leave Razor Bay again. That Thing Called Love is a refreshing love story, with insights into what might happen when someone wants to make a wrong right. I found this contemporary romance fun, touching and superbly written. Susan Andersen's characters are portrayed with great insight, especially when the banter gets going. She captures the attitude of a thirteen year old boy perfectly, with dialogue that made me laugh out loud quite a few times.
