ee Smith is a smart mouthed, cocky, hard nosed kind of girl, straight from the streets. She joins the army and works her way to the very top. Physically fit, a straight shooter and the best at what she does, she ends up in the elite Night Stalkers. The second woman to reach SOAR, she thinks she is going to be put on a girlie-bird, not realizing that she will be working with the legendary Emily Beale. When she starts bitching to Lieutenant Archie Stevenson, he just shrugs and walks away as he points to the major. It wasn't one of Kee's finer moments, but Stevenson sure stuck in her head.

ieutenant Archie Stevenson is the type of man who usually can't form the words to talk to a woman. He is co-pilot for one of the Black Hawks, also one of the best strategists, yet he can't understand Kee's inner workings. She is hot, smart and there is something she does to him that he cannot put his finger on. All he knows is that he wants her in the worst way. Then to top it off he sees the soft side of Kee when she brings in an orphan from a mission and begins to take care of her. Frustration is becoming his middle name.
S
o far I have throughly enjoyed every one of M. L. Buchman's books. They have a hard edge to them that keeps you turning pages. I love the fact that the women in these stories have strong characters, overcoming the odds and succeeding. This time two opposites are attracted - from different walks of life they blend in a most curious way. I also love the action, whether it is fighting the baddies or the hot, tremulous sex scenes.
I Own The Dawn
has it all and then some.
