atalie Jones has known for years that one day she would go blind from a degenerative eye disease. However this doesn't stop her from pursuing her love for photography. When she does finally lose her sight, she's devastated. To make matters worse, someone is trying to kill her for what she might have seen - or photographed - during one of the last days she could actually see.
S
pecial Agent Liam McKenzie is determined to stop the madman who's after Natalie. What he doesn't expect is his instant attraction to the combative and uncooperative victim. His adrenaline-packed job doesn't allow for any sort of relationship - his recent divorce proves that. Nor does Natalie want a man in her life right now - she doesn’t want anyone's pity. But as the killer closes in, she eventually realises that she can't face this latest dark challenge alone.

espite DePaul's sure-handed writing style, she presents a paint-by-number plot that's more minor mystery than suspense; the author doles out far too many clues about the antagonist. Natalie is also unfortunately a heroine who isn't very likeable. Yes, she recently lost her sight and has a hard time dealing with that and her stalker, but her negativity and constant lashing out against Mac (who's trying to help her in every way) gets tiresome. This makes their relationship hard to swallow since they spend more time arguing than pursuing their attraction.
