You'll also find coaches, dining cars, sleepers, observation and parlor cars, and cabooses in this comprehensive collection carrying the logos of a number of North American railroads. Each section begins with a two page overview of the development of the type of rolling stock before you get to the specific examples. The author tries to also provide a sense of the historical development of each type of car by selecting a wide range of examples. With Father's Day not that far off, this might be a book to keep in mind for that armchair engineer in the family!
