ajor Liam McCabe is a Pararescueman with only one mission left before he retires. Married three times, he thinks constantly of a woman he met in the Bahamas - a beautiful, high spirited, no nonsense, kind woman who, in the aftermath of the earthquake, took charge with her dog and rescued trapped people. It's been six months now and he has not stopped thinking about her, even if she does not answer any of his calls.
R
achel Flores works at rehabilitating military soldiers using therapy dogs. One particular military cop (now discharged) told her about a high ranking traitor. It's a far fetched tale, but when she finds threats looming over her head, Rachel has only one person she can turn to. Liam is the only one she trusts with this knowledge and he has the training and background to help her.

ut will Liam help after Rachel ignored him for so long? Believing her to be the only woman he ever truly loved, will he go to the lengths necessary to protect her and ask nothing in return? This could end his career and possibly his life; would he die for her? All he has is Rachel's word to hang this all on - and nothing else.

f there were bullets flying over my head, Liam would be the man I would want protecting me! Catherine Mann does it again, delivering a fast-paced, edge of your seat tale. The romance is smoking hot even though it's slow to explode. The story grips you right from the beginning, never allowing you to catch your breath. And the secondary stories squeeze your heart.
